This Practice Clinician post within the Department of Livestock and One Health is available from February 2022 for 12 months to cover maternity leave. It is based at the Leahurst Farm Animal Practice, situated on the University of Liverpool’s Leahurst Campus on the Wirral Peninsula. Leahurst Farm Animal Practice provides a complete clinical service to local farmers and smallholders, including routine visits for fertility work, foot trimming and herd health visits as well as attending individual animals. Facilities are available for in-patient care and referral cases are accepted. The Livestock Health and Welfare department has an excellent relationship with the equine department, and the high quality facilities of the Philip Leverhulme Equine Hospital are used for radiography, anaesthesia and surgery of farm animal cases when necessary.
Vacation time is contractually up to 6 weeks.

• participate in the out-of-hours (OOH) rota, for which a supplement is paid.
