About the role:

Our Histology Department is currently searching for a dedicated, enthusiastic and competent Laboratory Technician. This is a Permanent, full-time position of 80 hours per fortnight. This position is based in our Christchurch Laboratory.

We are looking for the following skills and attributes:

• Medical or Veterinary experience would be desirable
• A Science qualification or in the process of completing your qualification
• Medical or veterinary diagnostic experience
• Ability to communicate and work effectively within a laboratory
• Extremely well organised, detail oriented and friendly with a strong focus on quality and customer service.
• Ability to work well under pressure whilst working within a team
• Ability to organise, prioritise and focus on daily work to meet turnaround times

The successful applicant needs to have a “hands on” approach to their work due to the nature of the laboratory.
