Pacston Technology Group - headquartered in Vancouver and Singapore - is working with a major global immigration law firm on the hunt for Technical Writers to work remotely.

About the position

This position will be responsible for writing and editing legal documents. A legal background is not necessarily required, but experience in efficiently and accurately summarizing complex information and/or scientific research is very helpful. You must possess a very strong familiarization of English writing and grammatical rules to meet our projects' demands. Experience in producing academic dissertations, thesis, journal articles/papers, etc. , and background in academic or technical writing is highly desirable.

What our writers do

The primary duties of our writers are to produce letters and documents based on our clients' research or industry portfolios. Writers read and summarize scientific research of various topics and produce sets of documents on a project-by-project basis. The weekly workload is around 10,000 to 12,000 words per week.

Our clients are highly accomplished academic or technical professionals of various scientific backgrounds, and it is always cool to discover new things while doing research related to our clients’ professional fields. Writers will work with 3 - 4 sets of client profiles per week. If you are a curious individual who is also a science fan, this job is for you!

What to expect at actual work

Writers at Pacston usually produce documents of twenty to twenty-five pages on a two-day project deadline throughout the work week. There is a stable and continuous flow of projects for our writers to focus on.

Training on drafting the specific types of documents will be provided before writers start working on actual client cases.

What we offer

The weekly rate is set from A$700 to A$1300 per week depending on the project workload writers are available to work on.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or above). 
-Bachelor's Degree. A Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing, English, Literature, Letters, Journalism, Liberal Arts, Law, or a Bachelor of Science degree with research writing experience is highly preferred.

- 1~3 years of writing experience in content writing, creative writing, copywriting, technical writing, academic writing, and/or legal writing is highly diserable.
