About the Role:

  • The role involves design and delivery of inclusive theoretical and practical teaching, to meet module learning outcomes, as either module leader or a member of the module team.
  • Providing student-focussed academic personal tutoring, supported by on-campus specialist centres, including the Achievement and Success Centre and the Innovation, Careers and Enterprise Centre.
  • Planning, designing and delivery of student assessments followed by marking and moderation of student work.
  • Engaging with scholarly activity, applying this to teaching and other opportunities for knowledge generation, exchange and transfer.
  • Supervising student research projects.
  • Actively contributing to committees and project management as required.

 

About You:

  • You will be a dynamic, professional Registered Veterinary Nurse or Registered Equine Veterinary Nurse.
  • Hold a teaching qualification or be willing to complete a teaching development programme.
  • Highly motivated, self-reliant and enthusiastic and passionate about delivering the highest quality of teaching, learning and student experience to veterinary nursing students.
  • A record of strong interpersonal, communication and team working skills, also the ability to manage your own time.
  • Teaching and or Veterinary Nursing assessing/coaching experience is desirable but not essential
  • Have post-qualification/industry experience within the subject field, with research practice being advantageous
  • Evidence of engagement with research and scholarly activity and a willingness to further develop and contribute to this area as a University academic
