Horse Surgeon Pty Ltd is seeking a Junior Equine Associate Veterinarian to join our team.

The successful applicant will need to have at least two years experience in equine practice, with a minimum of six months hospital experience. The successful applicant will have responsibility for supervised veterinary care on thoroughbred stud farms, under the direction of an equine surgical specialist.

The first six months of the year involve the radiography and endoscopy of a large number of horses intended for Sale at auction. The latter half of the year involves a considerable amount of on-farm anaesthesia of foals for correction of various angular and flexural limb deformities. Applicants should be familair and competent at theses procedures

There are also opportunities to take part in the work-up, surgery, and after-care of horses in the hospital environment, primarily at Bendigo Equine Hospital.

Selection criteria necessitate a Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent that can be fully registered in the state of Victoria. A full driving licence is also necessary.

Remuneration will reflect experience and qualifications and will be between $60,000- $75,000 PA.
