The Job

As part of the awesome Operations Team, the I&E Lead will work with our practice inventory and equipment managers, developing and reviewing procedures to efficiently manage and maintain the company’s inventory, process improvement . The main duties include controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking and analyzing inventory and equipment maintenance and developing protocols for loss mitigation. The inventory and Equipment Lead will also use management software systems and technologies to manage and update their inventory records accordingly.

The Location

Flexible work arrangements with min. 3 days on location as required. Head office is in Springwood, Brisbane.  There will also be occasions where you will visit our practices.

All About You

  • A veterinary nurse looking for a change, looking to further their career (strongly desired!)
  • Solid knowledge and proven experience over several years in roles that included inventory tracking, data analysis, logistics, supplier liaison, financial reporting and forecasting
  • Equipment and inventory management certification, or logistics qualifications are a plus
  • An analytical mind with strong attention to detail and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and team leadership abilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support a team of inventory and equipment managers
  • Reviewing and implementing best practice to an inventory tracking system for optimised inventory and equipment control procedures
  • Coordinate with the hospital based Inventory team members to schedule orders
  • Manage the inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
  • Evaluate deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
  • Analyse daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
  • Collaborate, communicate with and train inventory and equipment team members to meet business goals and safety requirements
  • Develop, maintain and analyse business relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost effective solutions  needed to operate and be profitable
  • Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures
  • Monitors demand and analyse data to anticipate future supply
  • Manage inventory and equipment reports
  • Safeguard equipment and inventory by establishing procedures and protocols for proper storage and fulfilment practices
  • Accurately record and communicate with the greater team the quality, quantity, type, style, and any other characteristics of the inventory for clear understanding of what is and is not available
  • Reports on inventory levels, equipment safety and quality, procedural efficiency and team issues to COO.
  • Mitigate and report on company shrinkage due to loss or theft
  • Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels
  • Evaluating new inventory, ensuring it’s ready to be distributed to the hospitals
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
