After officially opening the doors last November, SASH Adelaide has been extremely busy! This hospital is in addition to our 3 NSW based referral clinics. The team is excited to be able to bring gold standard care to the South Australia providing a complete range of clinical services to our patients with all 4 of our hospitals working collaboratively. Our services in Adelaide include internal medicine, neurology, surgery, 24 hour emergency and critical care, and physiotherapy. With Neurology due to open a service in early 2023, we have plans to continue expanding to include; oncology, cardiology, ophthalmology and other specialties.

Our Adelaide facility has been fitted with a purpose built Emergency and ICU space making it the perfect time to join our Internal Medicine  team. You will have access to the brand new Intensive Care Unit, full service in-house lab, Ultrasound, CT scanner, MRI, digital radiography, three theatres including an interventional radiology space, laparoscopy, endoscopy, and more.

The Internal Medicine Position:

SASH Adelaide is looking for a second enthusiastic and dedicated Internal Medicine specialist to join Dr David Davies with support from our internal medicine intern and rotating interns. You will work in a growing multidisciplinary setting alongside collaborative, on-site colleagues. You will also have the opportunity to draw on the knowledge and experience amongst the extensive network of SASH specialists interstate providing you with a truly collaborative experience and assisting you to achieve the best results for your patients.

The opportunity is a full time, permanent position across a 4-day week. A permanent part time position will also be considered for the right person.

Candidates for this position must:

  • Value a hospital culture of inclusivity, empathy and teamwork.
  • Be eligible to register as a veterinarian in South Australia and be qualified as a specialist in Internal Medicine, Fellow (ANZCVS) or Diplomate (ACVIM, ECVIM-CA).

If you have completed an approved residency training program in small animal emergency and critical care and are eligible to sit a certification examination, we would still love to hear from you!
