The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a part-time Internal Medicine Consultant to join our Medical Affairs team at IDEXX, based in Western Australia. This role will be supporting our veterinary clinic customers with interpreting results provided from our in-house diagnostic equipment or reference laboratories. As an Internal Medicine Consultant, you will also be providing our customers with further guidance on diagnostics and therapy. We are seeking someone ideally who is interested in working either Monday's or Wednesday's 1pm-4pm (Perth Time).
What to expect
As part of the IDEXX Professional Services Team you will be making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners by providing best in class animal care. As an Internal Medicine Consultant, you will provide exceptional customer service to veterinarians through the interpretation of laboratory results and the provision of medical advice by telephone to achieve high quality outcomes. Using your professional knowledge and skills will build relationships with our veterinarian clients and complement and support the introduction of innovative technologies and diagnostic products to the market.
This role is based remotely so you must be comfortable with a home-office set-up.
You will have:
- To be a success in this role you will have at least five years’ experience as a small animal medicine specialist or be a small animal practitioner with Memberships in small animal medicine
- You will have completed an internal medicine residency – qualified in small companion animals.
- You will be registered as a Veterinarian in Australia or New Zealand
- Your professional qualifications and training will be suitable for registration in Australia and New Zealand.
- You will have experience with giving advice virtually or over the phone.
- You will have excellent communication skills and a service orientated attitude!
