About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our dynamic team at The Austin Vet Specialists. This role offers the chance to grow your HR career within our expanding business where we provide specialist veterinary care. You will work closely with our HR Manager, learning the ropes and taking on responsibilities that will help you develop professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Support/contribute to all aspects of the people and culture portfolio, including recruitment, induction, rostering, IR and Award compliance, performance management, records management and team development.
• Innovate and refine administrative functions to support service excellence.
• Implement continuous improvements in both administration and HR processes.
• Enhance effective internal and external communications.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with:

• Ambition to develop a career in HR within a growing business.
• Recent graduate or current student in Human Resource Management.
• Experience providing confidential administrative support, ideally within an HR/WHS team.
• A sound understanding of relevant legislation (IR and WHS) and Modern Awards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a positive demeanor.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality and work under limited supervision.
• Strong computer literacy, including HRMS/time and attendance systems and Google applications.
