About the Role

Are you passionate about your industry? Do you enjoy teaching and developing others?

TAFE SA is seeking qualified casual Lecturers (Hourly Paid Instructors) to join our team based at the TAFE SA Veterinary Clinic, Gilles Plains Campus.

As an Hourly Paid Instructor, you may be required to provide an educational service of training, assessment, and guidance to students in accordance with the requirements of each course.

To be a successful applicant you will have relevant experience in your professional area of expertise, and you must have a desire and willingness to impart knowledge and skills onto others. You will be required to keep up to date in the industry and continually develop skills in the role.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent is desirable.
  • Must have a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a degree in Veterinary Science (registerable with the Veterinary Surgeon’s Board of South Australia) and have a minimum of 3 years current industry experience in all aspects of veterinary clinical operations.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).

  • Must be currently eligible to live and work in Australia.
  • May be required to facilitate at several campuses within TAFE SA.
  • This role requires a flexibility around timetabling to ensure the needs of the program are met.
