Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to cleaning, animals observation, diet preparation, behavioral conditioning, enrichment and guest focus.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience working with a variety of taxa with a strong emphasis on operant conditioning.
- Demonstrated strong observation, evaluation and data collecting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and partnering skills.
- Ability to work in a large team environment.
- Ability to work in an environment that is continually changing.
- Demonstrated strong guest focus.
- Job duties include strenuous work and you need to be able to lift 50lbs
Required Education
- High school degree or equivalent plus a minimum of either 1 year of paid experience as a keeper in an AZA accredited institution, or in an institution with equivalent standards, or 2 years of verifiable college course work (60 semester hours) with an emphasis in zoology, biology, animal science, animal management, agriculture, psychology, wildlife management or environmental sciences.
