Description

Histology Manager

(Finn Pathologists)

Finn Pathologists is dedicated to providing a quality diagnostic laboratory service to the veterinary industry. With sites in Harleston and Weybread in East Anglia we are currently recruiting for a Histology Manager to join our busy diagnostic histology team.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Histology Manager will spearhead the day-to-day operation of our busy Histology Department, manage the team of 11 Laboratory Technicians, a Laboratory Assistant, a Diagnostic Support Officer and the Histopathology Logistics Coordinator and will work with the Management Team to develop and progress the department as the requirements of the business develop and change.

Based at our Weybread site, candidates should either …

… already have 2+ years of experience of managing and motivating a busy, diverse team combined with experience and knowledge of histology processes (ideally, but not essentially, including Immunohistochemistry and Digital Pathology).

or

… in the absence of managerial experience, have a strong familiarity with histology processes and be able to demonstrate leadership ability.

This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Appropriate remuneration will be given for these responsibilities, dependent upon experience of the successful candidate.
