Our team is key to providing a smooth and reliable Herd Test Process, and we have a great opportunity for a superstar to join our team for the 2024-2025 season!

 

About the Role

Our Herd Test Technicians use LIC vehicles to transport Herd Testing equipment to dairy farms throughout the region, to set-up milking sheds for testing. They then return following day to collect the completed samples and equipment. This is a fast-paced role which requires excellent time management skills and physical strength as handling heavy equipment is involved.

This is a seasonal (Fixed-term) position, available for commencement from August 2024, finishing late May 2025. The role is based in Hawera.

 

We are looking for people who have:

  • A 'can-do' attitude and are tech savvy
  • Good communication skills
  • Motivated and professional
  • Excellent time management skills,
  • Attention to detail
  • Safety Conscious
  • High level of fitness and physical strength (heavy lifting is required daily)
  • A current full class 1 driver's license is essential
  • Some Dairying knowledge is beneficial but not essential as full training and support will be given.

 

Field roles work 6 days per week, Sunday to Friday with a guarantee of 20 minimum hours per week. Hourly rate is dependent on experience.
