Full-time Equine Head Nurse

An opportunity exists for a full-time experienced veterinary nurse to join our busy equine hospital and diagnostic centre in Ascot, Western Australia.

We are looking for an exceptional vet nurse to join our young and energetic team. Our Equine Veterinary Hospital and Diagnostic Centre offers full surgical and medical services and seasonal neonatal intensive care services. Our caseload of surgical and medical cases is busy and varied. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, video and dynamic respiratory endoscopy, gastroscopy, arthroscopy, and laparoscopy.

The ideal applicant will have the following:

• Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) & be registered with the VSBWA
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in clinic
• An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
• Experience in equine nursing preferred but not an absolute necessity
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Practice high quality patient and client care
• Be adaptable, energetic, and friendly
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise
• Enjoy a diverse and busy schedule
• Willingness to go above and beyond their duties when required

Remuneration: Above award, commensurate with experience. Continued education is encouraged and supported.
