About The Role
As the GM Corporate Services, you will report directly to the CEO and oversee key corporate functions including governance, compliance and risk, human resources, finance, ICT, facilities, and administration. You will ensure that these functions operate efficiently and effectively, supporting the overall strategic objectives of AHA. You will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to drive organisational performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to AHA in support of the CEO.
- Manage the financial operations of the organisation, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and auditing.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the HR function, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and professional development.
- Ensure AHA’s ICT functionality is highly effective, reliable, and secure.
- Lead the execution of AHA’s financial governance obligations during an emergency response.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture and lead the team to deliver high-value results for members, and key stakeholders.
- Maintain oversight of AHA projects, ensuring defined project management methodologies and reporting requirements are met.
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Accounting, Commerce or a related field.
- CA, CPA or similar qualification desirable, and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors or similar.
- Substantial experience in a senior management role, with a focus on corporate functions.
- Extensive experience in corporate governance, compliance, and administrative roles.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks and other relevant financial software.
