About Our Services
Pet Emergency & Specialist Centre aim to provide all pet owners with compassion and a high standard of veterinary care to improve patient outcomes and help pets live longer and healthier lives. Our three most important goals are:
- Being committed to offering Melbourne’s pet owners specialist surgery options and emergency and critical care
- Providing excellence in communication with the client and their family vet;
- Developing new treatments by actively leading the profession in continuing education of all our nursing and veterinary staff
Our state-of-the-art intensive care unit includes Menios oxygen cages, touch screen BM multiparameter monitoring, state of the art portable ultrasound, CT imaging, DR digital radiography and fluoroscopy, mechanical ventilators (life-support), capability for blood and plasma transfusion. Emergency surgery facilities, with specialist surgeons, urgent medications, and oxygen therapy. We also have a full in-house IDEXX laboratory.

- 16 slice helical CT
- On-site IDEXX laboratory
- Sound-proof dog runs
- Dedicated cat ward

The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate ECC Clinician. The opportunity will provide the successful applicant with the chance to improve their clinical experience, learn new veterinary skills, work alongside a friendly team in a caring and supportive environment. We are seeking veterinarians who are client-focused, practice evidence-based medicine at a high level and enjoy working in a growing team environment. Work side by side with our surgical department with opportunities to be mentored on surgical cases.
What we are Looking for
Minimum requirements are one year of experience in a small animal veterinarian hospital. The position will be ideally suited to a vet with a background in Emergency that wishes to grow their skill set in a supported environment. A Veterinarian with experience in busy General Practices will also be considered. A candidate with Memberships in ECC will be highly regarded.
