Financial Planning Analyst, Animal Health

The Opportunity

The primary purpose of the role is to support various financial planning, analysis, and management reporting activities and to provide wide range of finance business partner support to the various Business Units. Key success criteria of the role are to form partnership with business stakeholders and foster collaboration with rest of FP&A team to contribute value-add support in decision making and help achieve financial goals.

This role supports Australia, part of the Australia and New Zealand cluster in the Asia Pacific & South Africa (APSA) Region for company Animal Health.

 

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include, however not limited to:

  • Demonstrate customer centricity, proactively seek to understand customer requirements and expectations to continuously enhance the support provided to the Business Units
  • Liaise with local finance and BSC teams and manage consolidation, analysis, and reporting of monthly/quarterly/annual sales, margins, and expenses
  • Analyse, seek feedback and prepare commentary on major variances to forecasts, budget & prior year actual results and assist in the understanding of key risks and opportunities
  • Support business review and analyse business performance against key metrics and assist in the understanding of key risks and opportunities
  • Support implementation of improvement initiatives around forecasting and reporting tools & systems, integration of systems, gross-to-net
  • Collaborate and support Finance Business Partner with similar tasks during peak season
  • Establish New Ways of Working through continuous review & improvement of processes, such as standardisation, simplification, and automation of time-intensive manual steps
  • Help to enforce financial controls within the organization, including assurance of financial integrity and accuracy around the monthly close process
  • Become proficient in using the financial applications and systems (e.g. Local Planning Tool, IFP, BPC, SAP, GP, Other Database tools
  • Any other tasks, projects or activities as may be required by Finance Business Partner Australia

 

What You Must Have

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA is desirable
  • Demonstrated solid (5+ years) working experience in a similar Financial Planning Analyst role
  • Have experience &/or understanding on SAP; experience with Power BI is desirable
  • Possess outstanding analytical skills
  • Ability to provide technical expertise to support cross functional teams
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise
  • Ability to think beyond numbers and combine data with strategy and financial insight
  • Ability to influence stakeholders to meet deadlines & financial requirements within defined guidelines.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with commercial teams coupled with excellent communication skills
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical or Animal Health industry preferred but not essential; we welcome applications with backgrounds with Business to Consumer (B2C) such as FMCG
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
