Eurofins Agroscience Australia/New Zealand is a leading provider of analytical services, regulatory consulting and technical support to the crop protection industry, seed businesses and veterinary medicine companies. Our technical activities involve conducting field and laboratory studies to determine the safety and efficacy of new agrochemicals, veterinary medicines/pharmaceuticals and crop varieties.  We offer outstanding technical knowledge and project management skills, and are experts in managing field and laboratory studies, including GLP residue studies, analytical method development and physico-chemical property testing.

Job Description

To effectively assist in the conduct of scientific agricultural field research trials on behalf our clients with the support of our Field Research Team and Study Management Team:

Utilising your experience in broadacre and horticulture crops and further developing your skills and knowledge under our industry leading competency and training program.

The role of Casual Field Research Technician will consist of:

• Providing assistance in trial design and conduct of field operations
• Assistance of calibrated application of agricultural chemicals
• Collection and processing of crop samples
• Collection and presentation of field data
• Identification of pests and disease and their control
• Use of field and lab equipment
• Communication with Study Management, local growers and agronomists
• Participation in planting and harvest operations

This role is field based and a certain level of autonomy is required.
