Reporting to the Feedlot Manager, this vital hands-on role will be responsible for the daily management of the feedlots’ livestock operations.

This position will be an integral part within the Ravensworth team and will have key responsibilities that include but are not limited to;

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the Animal Health team in conjunction with the Livestock Supervisor
  • Overseeing the daily supervision of livestock handling including pen riding, low-stress livestock handling, hospital treatments, post-mortems and preparation of cattle ready for dispatch
  • Comprehensive diagnosis of animal health symptoms across all feeding types
  • Administration and accurate record keeping of animal health treatments
  • Inventory management including calibration, auditing and stocktaking

 

About You

  • Previous experience managing and coordinating animal health and the associated performance of these teams advantageous
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience
  • Strong commitment and dedication to the welfare of livestock
  • Proficient computer and record keeping skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • High levels of self-motivation
  • Strong planning capabilities
