How you will make contributions that matter

We’re looking for a Farm Milk Quality and Responsible Sourcing Specialist to join our Farm Milk Quality Team based in Allansford.

Reporting to the Head of Milk Quality Assurance, you will manage supplier milk quality across our operations in the western district of Victoria and SE South Australia as well as providing industry and business leadership in the areas of animal welfare and farm sustainability. You will draw on your technical expertise to partner with Field Services, Farmers and Inbound Logistics, to ensure milk delivered to site is of optimal quality and meets regulatory standards.

Key elements of your role will include:

• Building exceptionally strong relationships and developing a close understanding of the challenges faced by both our farmers, logistics partners and manufacturing facilities
• Leading and coaching continual improvement in our milk quality performance through the coordination and delivery of targeted improvement initiatives
• Ensuring the effective investigation of milk quality incidents and verification of the adequacy of corrective actions
• Supporting the regulatory compliance farms in both milk quality and food safety
• Promoting animal welfare and supporting our animal welfare policy
• Promoting sustainable agriculture practices including driving emissions reduction initiatives and supporting our sustainable agriculture policy
• Analysis and reporting as required

About you

• Qualifications in veterinary science (ideally), agriculture or sustainability
• Demonstrated experience in quality assurance within agriculture, preferably dairy
• Demonstrated experience in implementing change and continuous improvement processes
• Exceptional relationship building skills with the ability to navigate potentially sensitive situations
• Strong IT skills
