Kuranda Koala Gardens, a boutique wildlife park located in the beautiful Village in the Rainforest of Kuranda in Far North Queensland, is currently seeking a positive, motivated person to fill a permanent, full-time wildlife keeping vacancy within our small team.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Daily husbandry for a variety of species.
• Animal observation and record keeping.
• Involvement in behavioural enrichment and animal conditioning.
• Involvement in animal handling and capture.
• Giving public presentations
• Running wildlife photo sessions

Essential skills:

• Previous experience in a zoo environment
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• A strong understanding of animal husbandry
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good level of physical fitness for a physically demanding job
• Friendly and positive attitude
• Current driver’s license

Desirable skills:

• Relevant qualifications at a tertiary level (e.g. Cert III Captive Animals)
