Requirements:
- A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, Bachelor of Veterinary Technology, or more than 3 years of full-time nursing experience.
- Confidence in medical and surgical routines, with excellent animal handling and triaging skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Positive, flexible and adaptable style.
- A passion for improving the lives of animals and a commitment to best practice customer service and animal care standards.
- A valid drivers license, registered vehicle, and a willingness to travel to other SuncoastVet clinics to fill critical shifts if required.
Responsibilities
- Undertake all aspects of advanced nursing duties (consult support, surgery, medicine, diagnostics, laboratory) under minimal supervision.
- Undertake customer service routines, including education and support, in line with SuncoastVet's customer ethos and culture.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed according to occupational health and safety legislation, including the protection of psychological health and safety in the workplace.
