Experienced Veterinary Nurse wanted!

Asquith and Berowra veterinary Hospitals are seeking an experienced, certificate IV qualified Veterinary Nurse to join our team. If you are a veterinary nurse with a minimum of 3 years in clinic experience and are looking for a full-time position with room for growth, we would love to hear from you.

Asquith & Berowra veterinary Hospitals are located on the upper north shore of Sydney. Both locations offer a high standard of care to both our patients and clients alike. We pride ourselves on providing a high level of service as well as a family friendly environment where our clients and patients feel comfortable and supported. Our Asquith location is a state-of-the-art purpose build hospital where we offer a variety of up-to-date medical services such as Xray, CT, Dental Xray, Ultrasound and Orthopaedics. Our large, dedicated team of professionals consist of vets, nurses, and reception staff, we are a close-knit team who love what we do!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting vets in a variety of surgical and medical procedures.
  • Providing a high level of care to hospitalized and boarding patients.
  • Handling of general nursing duties such as admission and discharge, providing advice to clients, assisting in consultations as well as some front of house work.

 

Requirements/ Expectations:

  • Minimum certificate IV in Veterinary nursing or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of in clinic experience working as a veterinary nurse.
  • Excellent surgical skills, experience with orthopedics would be a bonus!
  • Be flexible to work at both the Asquith and Berowra locations as well as the ability to join a rotating weekend roster.

 

Our ideal candidate would: 

  • Have the ability to perform nursing tasks such as anaesthetic monitoring as well as advanced tasks such as blood draws and catheter placement.
  • Possess great organisational and time management skills and well as excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Have a high level of knowledge of veterinary nurses’ duties and procedures.
  • Have a high level of patient care.
  • Have experience using Ezy Vet practice software (but not essential).
  • Be dedicated to maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout the clinic.
