Chinchilla Vet Services is a privately owned, busy large mixed practice located 4hrs north-west of Brisbane and just 2 hours from Toowoomba. We host a supportive and friendly team and a loyal, longstanding client base that are like family to us!

Our practice facilities and services include consult rooms, large prep area, theatre, radiology, an array of anaesthetic monitoring equipment, IM3 dental, hospital ward, equine breeding services and much more.

Our services are not just clinic based, requiring some of our staff on occasion to travel to assist with property visits and alike

About the Position

We are looking for a full time experienced Veterinary Nurse to complement our team. This is a hands-on nursing role for an experienced Nurse; you will need to have the skill set and confidence to place IV catheters, set up fluids, monitor anaesthetics, and love all things nursing! The role is focused on providing a high standard of veterinary care to our animals, supporting the veterinary team across all aspects of animal medicine.

What makes you right for the role

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing/ Bachelor of Veterinary Technology or equivalent.
• Min 2 years’ experience in a Vet Surgery or equivalent Confidence and skill when handling small animals.
• Resilience and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a passion for veterinary nursing.
• Demonstrated ability to use initiative, problem solving and assume responsibility for tasks.
• A focus on continued growth.
• Experience with Ezyvet and IDEXX Machines is highly desirable but not essential.
• Adaptability in a team focused environment
