Description
Scolexia Animal and Avian Health Consultancy are currently seeking full and/or part time veterinarians to join their expanding business.
A key aspect of the role will involve veterinary activities to intensive animals (including poultry, pigs, ruminants, other terrestrial species and aquaculture).
The field of work is broad and incorporates industry, commercial, government, regulatory, educational institutions and R & D. The veterinary team is supported by staff within the company with expertise in other Agricultural disciplines.
Knowledge and experience of laboratory techniques, quality assurance programs and scientific writing will be highly regarded, as will be experience with large animals or intensive animal farming. Whilst pig or poultry experience would be beneficial – it is not essential.
Whilst the companies head office is based in Melbourne, the role will involve routine interstate travel and offer scope for the successful applicant to reside elsewhere within Australia.
The company provides extensive mentoring to new employees that want to progress their knowledge and experience base. Further training including post graduate activities will be encouraged.
Remuneration packages are negotiable, depending on your level of experience.
