Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position:

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR (Permanent) - Re-Advertised

This position is responsible for the provision of statutory services, community education and regulatory enforcement for the protection and enhancement of community, public health and environment, together with animal control and welfare. The position oversees and coordinates Council’s enforcement and regulatory responsibility and ensures that all regulatory requirements under relevant legislation are met within the Griffith Local Government Area.

The position is also responsible for the coordination and supervision of a team to achieve the effective and efficient provision environment and public health, Ranger and animal control services in accordance with relevant legislation.

Skills & Knowledge: The successful applicant will require demonstrated extensive job related experience in public health, compliance or law enforcement and relevant tertiary education, (Diploma of Local Government - Health and Environment or other relevant qualification).

To be considered for this position applicants must provide a national criminal record check certificate.

Hours of work:  38 hours per week.

Salary and conditions: Annual Salary Range $95,091.84 to $104,599.96 (Grade 18). Rostered day off once a month, plus superannuation and a lease back vehicle.
