Position Overview

Massey’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital is a state-of-the-art, fast-paced facility offering New Zealand’s most comprehensive veterinary expertise. We are the only 24-hour pet emergency centre in the central North Island so at times we have a high caseload, and our patients require a very high level of nursing care.

ABOUT YOU:  

The successful applicant will provide specialised, high-quality nursing care and technical support as part of a 12-person, Emergency Critical Care nursing team. Your hours will be 34.5 per week on a ‘6 days on, 4 days off’ roster. DO you have the following skills and experience?

  • Vet Nursing Qualification of Diploma or above
  • Experience is desirable, Graduates will be considered
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
  • Natural empathy toward the cultural, emotional and physical state of our clients and patients alike
  • A positive attitude and a passion for critical care and client relations
  • A genuine interest in undergraduate education
  • Eligibility to work in NZ

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, who possesses excellent communication skills, is self-motivated, super organised and has a passion for education. As part of Massey Vets, you will be involved in the teaching of Bachelor of Veterinary Science.
