This is a fantastic opportunity to move away from the general everyday of vet practice and become part of a supportive and experienced team of veterinarians and biosecurity officers who undertake work in the field prevention, preparedness, detection and response activities for animal biosecurity and animal welfare.

Why is this the job for you?

  • They’re great positions for both experienced vets and recent graduates interested in production animals.
  • You get to become an expert in herd and flock disease investigation and management in a supportive environment.
  • Internal support and mentoring is on tap, with collaboration and cooperation across all functional areas encouraged
  • Professional development in any production species is encouraged (e.g. vet public health, epidemiology or nutrition)
  • You can develop skills in areas such as podcastsvideos, conducting webinars and running workshops
  • You’ll become a part of a friendly rural community, as well as part of an amazing, experienced, professional & friendly team
  • We offer great working conditions (including flexible work practices)

We are passionate about what we do, and if you share the same vision and drive, we want to work with you!

NB: You’ll need to have a degree in Veterinary Science registrable in NSW, are (or can be) registered with the NSW Veterinary Practitioners Board and have a current NSW Driver Licence, plus the capacity and willingness to travel throughout your region as required.

Have we got you interested?
We’re keen to hear from both graduate and experienced veterinarians. To apply simply submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining why being a District Veterinarian with Riverina LLS is for you. We will then get back in touch after the closing date.
