Description
The Veterinary Administration Department in the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine (PVM) invites applications for the position of Director of Veterinary Nursing Programs. This is a full-time, 12-month, Assistant/Associate clinical-track faculty position, with salary commensurate with experience.
Purdue Veterinary Nursing is unique in offering two separately accredited programs: the Veterinary Nursing Residential Program (VNRS), which provides both Associate of Applied Science (AAS) and Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Nursing (BSVN) degree options, and the Veterinary Nursing Distance Learning Program (VNDL), which offers an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree to students worldwide. Our veterinary nursing graduates have consistently high pass rates on the national licensing examination (VTNE) and high job placement rates, with many going on to become leaders in the profession.
Purdue’s on-campus veterinary nursing students gain unparalleled hands-on experience by rotating through all areas of the Purdue University Veterinary Hospital (PVH), a primary care and referral hospital. Here, they are supervised by credentialed veterinary nursing staff, veterinary nursing specialists, and board-certified veterinary specialists. This clinical exposure is unique because Purdue’s veterinary nursing campus program is one of the few embedded within a College of Veterinary Medicine, offering students a truly integrated learning environment.
The Director will oversee the management and operation of both programs, ensuring their continued success and fostering strategic expansion.
