Are you looking for a position that is full of variety in an organisation where initiative is encouraged? If so, this is an exciting opportunity for someone with a biological or animal sciences degree to take ownership of a diverse role with a range of responsibilities.
You will be working in team of technicians supporting teaching and research at our Camden and Hawkshead campuses, with primary responsibility at the Camden site.
You will be assisting in the delivery of practical teaching across all undergraduate cohorts, which will involve preparing and clearing-up of practical classes.
You will be responsible for managing our microbiology laboratories at the Camden site. Responsibilities include the training and supervision of students and new staff and the efficient and safe management of these laboratories.
You will be supporting research groups at all stages of the research process from assisting in the isolation and culturing of cells, sample collection, through to assays of cell function using a range of analytical techniques. You will be collecting high quality data and collating and analysing research results.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and practical person to join our team. You will be highly organised and motivated, able to work independently on your own projects and as part of the wider departmental and College technical teams.
