The role & you

The ideal candidate will have:

• Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services or equivalent.
• Experience in Companion Animal handling with knowledge and understanding of dog behavior including preparation of behavioral assessments.
• Authorised identifier status or willingness to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of animal legislation and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for public education.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.

Please note that to be a successful candidate for this role you’ll be required to complete a working with children check and national police check. 

 

Salary: Commencing salary package range circa $69,000 to $76,000 p.a. plus superannuation. (Dependent on skills and experience.)

A "to and from" use vehicle is available and will be discussed with the successful candidate.

 

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

 

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time, 38 hours per week.
