Vets on Riverbank is a mixed animal practice in Otaki with a long-established client base from Foxton to Wellington. We service all creatures great and small from rabbits to horses. We operate a large clinic split into a small animal hospital, surgery, reception and shop. We offer a high level of customer service and have great pride in our involvement with the local community.
Companion Animal Veterinary Nurse:
We are looking for a companion animal nurse to work alongside six vets and twelve experienced veterinary nurses.
This is a permanent full-time position for which we offer a competitive remuneration and staff discounts. Part-time may be considered for a suitable applicant. The role includes weekdays from 8am - 5pm, as well as some after hours and weekend work which is shared equally amongst the nurses.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- To hold a veterinary nursing qualification.
- Ideally minimum 3 years experience working with companion animals.
- Confidence in anaesthesia, and surgical/medical nursing.
- A capable understanding of animal handling, welfare, and nutrition.
- Great communication and the ability to work within a team but also show confidence working unassisted.
- A high level of customer service and compassionate attitude.
- Be eligible to work in New Zealand.
