What you will achieve in this (fast paced) role:

  1. Improving the health, wellbeing and care of companion animals in New Zealand by ensuring awareness and access to the best products, in turn improving the health and wellbeing of their pet carers
  2. Take charge of a dynamic companion animal product portfolio, managing a marketing plan, product forecast and campaign deliverables, ensuring that your products meet financial objectives set by the business
  3. Accomplish marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
  4. Seize opportunities by understanding pet carers needs; define market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share

 

Key to your success will be your ability to:

  • Develop and implement effective category marketing initiatives that optimise investment for material impact.
  • Utilise an omni-channel approach to bring category marketing initiatives to life.
  • Identify actionable insights and business opportunities through customer (retail and vet), pet owner and market analysis.
  • Lead cross function teams that include Sales, Veterinary Operations, Inside Sales, Digital, Customer Service and other commercial and support stakeholders.
  • Drive alignment across internal stakeholders and proactively engage and help motivate the sales teams.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and inventory management.
  • Liaise with and gain insights from global companion animal teams
  • Think creatively and be able to take concepts from ideation to execution.

Reporting to the Digital and Multichannel Marketing Manager for Companion Animal, this is a high-profile role that is responsible for managing a portfolio of brands synonymous with innovation and pet owner trust.

We are looking for someone that will take this portfolio to the next level by building on what’s current working and challenging in other areas that could be improved.

 

Education and Experience

  • A tertiary qualification in marketing or a related discipline is preferred and/or Minimum 3 years in a Marketing role.
  • A background in an animal health is preferred however experience in retail marketing, and/or FMCG will be highly regarded.
  • Experience working within a regulated industry is highly advantageous as is experience in a global, matrix organisation
