Description
The Glasgow Equine Practice are seeking to appoint a Clinician to contribute to the activities of the Division of Equine Clinical Sciences, School of Biodiversity, One Health and Veterinary Medicine by developing, managing, and contributing to the clinical service offered by the practice.
Glasgow Equine Practice was launched in June 2020 as a predominantly ambulatory practice based at, and working extremely closely with, the School's equine hospital. The practice's values reflect those of the Division: delivery of high-quality patient care through the application of evidence-based medicine and a high standard of customer service; provision of a fulfilling student learning experience; and staff development through engagement with scholarship.
The Glasgow Equine Hospital is accredited by the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme as an Equine Veterinary Hospital, which includes assessment in categories such as client services, in-patient services, diagnostic services, team and professional responsibility and ambulatory services. The Veterinary School has recently been rated 7th in the World and 1st in the UK for quality of education and training. Clinical audit is undertaken formally, and staff maintain clinical and research links with leading veterinary authorities worldwide, in order to expand skill sets.
We welcome applications from candidates who hold a Veterinary degree, registerable with the RCVS prior to commencing employment and experience in teaching, especially of veterinary undergraduate students.
