Job Description:

The College of Veterinary Medicine's Department of Comparative, Diagnostic, and Population Medicine at the University of Florida (UF) invites applications to join our Veterinary Forensic Pathology service as a full time, clinical track faculty Assistant Professor in Forensic Pathology.

The individual will participate in and support the teaching and service activities of the Veterinary Forensic Sciences Laboratory and will be expected to develop and participate in collaborative research. Teaching responsibilities will involve didactic and clinical training of professional students and residents, continuing education training, and graduate student/fellow mentorship and education. The Veterinary Forensic Sciences Laboratory is a vibrant service that provides clinical service to a multitude of governmental and non-governmental agencies/organizations.

The UF College of Veterinary Medicine is the seventh ranked College of Veterinary Medicine in the US and is the only one that is part of a top 10 public research university (UF is ranked #7 nationally). Expected Salary:

Salary will be based upon the successful candidate's professional qualifications and experience.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Required qualifications for this position is a DVM or equivalent degree from an approved institution, completion of a veterinary anatomic pathology residency training program or equivalent training, and ACVP board-certification (or ECVP) in anatomic pathology. Experience in veterinary forensic science and/or veterinary forensic pathology and the ability to independently sign out cases, are required.
