We are also excited to announce that we are opening a brand new purpose-built specialist veterinary facility in South Australia in October 2021, located in Kent Town. Our core purpose is to help pets and their families live their best life.
SASH is the largest veterinary specialist hospital group in the Southern Hemisphere. We are privileged to care for over 18,000 pets and their families each year. SASH offers a wide range of specialist services including Anaesthesia, Avian & Exotics, Cardiology, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Medical and Radiation Oncology, Ophthalmology, Pathology, Physiotherapy, Radiology, Reproduction Medicine, Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation, Surgery and a renowned 24-hour Emergency and Critical Care department.
About the Role:
The client services team represents a pet owner’s first impression of our business. Ensuring our clients have a comforting experience begins with their interaction with the client services team. Because we deal with emergent and complex conditions for pets, our clients are often anxious or distressed. We want the first person that greets our clients to be focused on their needs in a calm, reassuring, empathetic way and to be highly knowledgeable in all aspects of the SASH Adelaide services. Full time, part time and casual roles are on offer.
You will be responsible for greeting clients, in person or by phone, and will work closely with the clinical and operations teams to ensure client and pet needs are rapidly and effectively met. Additionally, you will manage referral appointment scheduling, liaise with referring veterinarians to ensure accurate transfer of medical records, collect payments and help process insurance paperwork. You will also facilitate receipt of deliveries and coordinate pathology service collections. You will be supported by the entire SASH Adelaide team.
About You:
We are looking for great people to join our team who are interested in learning and growing in their roles and prepared to go the extra mile for each other to make SASH a great place to work and the best provider of specialist veterinary care to our patients and their families, so they can live their best life. Candidates for this position must:
- Strive for service excellence
- Have significant experience and a reputation for excellence in client services. Experience in the veterinary industry is not compulsory.
- Be able to empathise and communicate sensitively with distressed or anxious pet owners. In return you will often receive deep and genuine thanks as you help them through their journey.
- Be a ‘people person’ and a problem solver
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clinicians, nurses and support staff.
- Value a culture of inclusivity, empathy and teamwork. We strive for a culture of excellence in care not only for our patients and clients but also each other and our referring veterinarians.
- Work with an efficient, adaptable, co-operative and proactive approach in all situations, communicating across services with the goal of achieving the best possible client service experience for all of our pet owners and referring veterinarians.
- Display commitment to the culture and values of SASH
The SASH experience:
- Training in all of our systems and services. You will not need veterinary knowledge
- Be an inaugural SASH Adelaide team member. It’s going to be an exciting ride!
- A great opportunity to grow in a supportive and collaborative environment, offering the highest standards of care to South Australia’s pet owners
- An organisation committed to excellence in clinical care and a healthy workplace culture, working with founding partners who understand the priorities and purpose of specialty and emergency medicine
- Contribute to defining excellence in animal healthcare
- Join a family friendly workplace committed to gender equality and paid support for new parents. We offer paid parental leave equally to women and men and we also support IUI / IVF treatments with paid leave.
If you are interested in joining a supportive team, with excellent facilities and cases that challenge and reward, we would love to hear from you!
