If you’re happiest when connecting with and caring for others, and want to be part of an exceptional office team in a unique and impactful role, this might be the job for you.

At Sunset, we all know we're a part of something special, and as we expand our services, we are so excited to be looking for another administrator, client care coordinator, and general all-round office superstar to join us in our beautiful head office located on the Sunshine Coast.

About Us

Sunset Vets is Australia's leading Veterinary Palliative Care team. We are one of only a handful of specialised veterinary practices in Australia, that is uniquely dedicated to Palliative Care for animals. At Sunset, we thrive on doing things differently and are widely recognised for our innovative approach to care and our in-office culture.

Our Vets are located right across Australia and are supported each day by our amazing Administration / Patient Care team, based at our head office in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast.

Are you our next Superstar?

We are looking for someone with strong administration, phone and organisational skills, as well as a team-based attitude. The Veterinary industry is a special field to work in - made up of highly dedicated, caring individuals and we are looking for someone who is committed to teamwork and building on our values and culture.

You will need to have high attention to detail, love people and have exemplary communication skills that allow you to connect quickly and compassionately with clients you are supporting. You will need to want to grow with us and be comfortable with adapting to the systems and processes that have been foundational for our success. Ideally, you will connect strongly with the ideals of Palliative Care, and be someone who is also energised by being part of a young and innovative company looking to help even more patients to access much-needed care.

When we feel good about the work we do, we do it well.

We are often dealing with emotional clients so a sense of fun, humour, and a desire to always help your fellow teammates will be highly valued. We are a cohesive, growth-focused team and genuinely enjoy helping each other deliver our best for the families we help everyday. We are committed to maintaining our supportive culture as we grow and regularly invest in our teams' development through ongoing training, mentoring and education.

There’s a lot to learn, so we set you up for success.

We want you to learn about all aspects of what we do and do this via a structured 2-3 month training period, with one of our experienced team always available and often supporting you chairside. Beyond this, you will be managing office inquiries independently (when we feel you're ready to fly), connecting with our incredible clients by phone and email, organising appointment logistics, chatting to other vet practices in the industry, and managing/nurturing our Vet teams out on the road.

We don’t just teach you what we do, we teach you why we do it.

We have strong systems and processes in place to help you learn and perform tasks consistently, so the largest and most interesting component of your training will be learning how to transfer your already brilliant communication skills to provide the most appropriate support for our clients, every step of the way.

This is a varied and highly rewarding role, perfect for someone who loves to always be learning, thrives within a team and is looking to invest in their next career steps. Come grow with us!
