The Opportunity

Ecrotek has grown to become the largest supplier of beekeeping products in Australasia with manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution operations in Australia and New Zealand. It currently has a total staff of 24. With ties to agricultural and horticultural industries, the company invests significantly in manufacturing and product development and is the only supplier across Australasia with full manufacturing capability of core beekeeping products as well as strategic sales structures and relationships across multiple channels. A strong base has been established over the last five years and Ecrotek now serves the smallest recreational beekeepers to the largest corporates.

You will play a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of Ecrotek, overseeing all aspects of our operations and strategic initiatives. You will be responsible fostering a culture of excellence and delivering exceptional results in alignment with the company's growth aspirations.

The CEO is also responsible for securing and implementing growth opportunities. Ecrotek is operating in an environment of constant change across 2 countries and must be flexible and adaptable in its strategy, processes, and tactics.

Due to an anticipated increase in demand for pollination services the beekeeping industry is poised for substantial growth in the coming decade. This is an exciting time for an experienced leader to join the Ecrotek team as CEO and further develop the company's position by capitalising on the long-term confidence level in the market.

Perhaps you are a successful senior sales & marketing manager and ready for your step up into executive management?

 

About The Role

  • Work with the Board to drive and take advantage of the forecast market growth.
  • Provide company-wide leadership, across multiple teams and locations.
  • Create an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale.
  • Act as the figurehead of the organisation when communicating with stakeholders, Government entities and the public.
  • Oversee brand development and the implementation of effective marketing strategies.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of the market and industry.

 

Your background should show:

  • Business or business-unit leadership experience reporting at the executive or ownership level.
  • A deep understanding of product distribution across Australian states
  • A strong history of driving marketing and achieving sales results, ideally through resellers and strategic partnerships.
  • A history of successfully working with changing business and market conditions

While not essential, experience in or an understanding of the agricultural or horticultural market may be an advantage. A willingness and ability to travel domestically and occasionally to New Zealand is essential.
