About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to work at Box Hill Institute as our Casual Lecturer - Bachelor of Biosecurity. This is a casual opportunity based at our Lilydale Campus. This position reports directly to the (Academic Course Manager - Community Services), and sits within the Biosecurity, Education & Community Services area.

 

What you'll do:

• Responsible for the online delivery and marking of the Microcredential in Biosecurity Surveillance and the Microcredential in Plants Pests and Disease.
• Provide high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to students enrolled in the Micrcredentials

• Support student success in their courses and thereby improve their employment and/or educational pathways

• Ensure BHI compliance requirements are met, and quality education is delivered to students

 

About you:

• Victorian Working with Children Check clearance
• National Police Check clearance

 

Qualifications and experience:

• A Master degree in Agriculture, plant pathology, plant science or related area, with 3 years of industry experience.
• A PhD in plant pathology, plant science or related area, with 3 years of industry experience, would be well regarded.
• Ability to design and deliver logical, succinct, up-to-date and engaging course materials and lessons.
• Proficiency in using learning management systems (i.e. Moodle) to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for students
• Ability to develop a range of complex documents that comply with all relevant quality standards, including unit plans and assessment tools
