At SAI Veterinary Hospital, we are a privately owned practice located in Willetton, Perth, Western Australia. Our modern and multi-purpose-built hospital is equipped with a modern intensive care unit, multi-purpose state-of-the-art surgical suite, mechanical ventilator, digital radiology, full in-house laboratory, high-quality point-to-care ultrasound, endoscopy, and a wide range of high-level anaesthetic and patient monitoring and diagnostic equipment.

 

POSITION

We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic and friendly individual to join our growing emergency team as we are operating 24/7 - 365 days of the year and are looking for a registered and qualified veterinarian to join our team on a casual basis. The potential for permanency may be discussed with the right candidate.

 

ESSENTIAL

•Recognised and registered degree in veterinary science and/or veterinary medicine in Western Australia;

•Current registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Western Australia;

•Ability to work in Australia;

•One-to-three-years veterinary experience (previous experience within emergency veterinary medicine is highly advantageous, however, new graduates are also encouraged to apply);

•Confident in performing veterinary surgery;

•Capable of working autonomously;

•Exceptional customer service skills;

•Exceptional organisational and communication skills; and

•Flexible, adaptable and a positive ‘can do’ attitude

SHIFTS

Please note that this shift is casual with possibly on-going work. Shifts are to be discussed with the suitable applicant within the interview process. Please note that this position will involve working in an after-hours setting (evening and overnight shifts).
