Description

The Geelong Animal Welfare Society (GAWS) is a not-for-profit organisation providing animal welfare services including pound, shelter and veterinary services to the Geelong region. The organisation has a long and proud history having serviced the local community for over 60 years, and an ongoing commitment to its values of Respect and Integrity, Teamwork, Accountability, Leadership and Learning.

GAWS is looking for an experienced Campaign Manager to drive the delivery and execution of our March campaign.

 

The Role

This temporary part-time position reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is responsible for:

Planning and execution of fundraising campaigns 

  • Executing and promoting the March campaign from copy-writing of story development to media release, publicity and advertising, social media and community engagement
  • Nurturing donors and all appropriate communication including thank you emails, cards, phone calls
  • Nurturing influencers and partnerships to promote prioritized campaign

 

Content Management System

  • Working with internal and external stakeholders, review design and produce GAWS marketing and customer material
  • Creating CRM content (eg 2 to 3 original pieces per month) in partnership with the marketing officer
  • Maintaining and developing donor and customer relations management systems to support fundraising activities, including supporter database segmentation and management

 

Media strategy and brand management

  • Developing and managing budget for related income and expenditure  in collaboration with the CEO
  • Being proactive in generating engagement with media opportunities to further educate and engage the community
  • Ensuring consistent and clear branding aligned with guidelines
  • Providing appropriate reporting internally and externally
  • Assessing the effectiveness of initiatives as part of continuous improvement

 

Who are you?

  • Experienced professional in marketing and fundraising in a NFP environment
  • Hands-on and outcome focused professional
  • Experience in developing website content
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited resources
  • Committed with the ability to effectively build relationships with all our stakeholders
  • Ability to handle competing priorities, sound judgement to manage operational matters in a timely manner.

 

The position is temporary part-time and starting as soon as possible until the end of March, 2 to 3 days a week.

The successful applicant for this position will be required to undergo a pre-employment Police Check and provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia.
