The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking leader who demonstrates an understanding of sales processes as a key part of the marketing mix to help drive our sales and marketing strategy to achieve revenue targets, as well as growth with our current and pipeline innovative products in the Companion Animal (CA) market in ANZ. In addition, a rewarding part of this position is to lead and motivate the cross functional agile team to high performance by promoting a culture of accountability and empowerment, whilst upholding leadership values in high integrity and ethics.

 

Reporting to the General Manager ANZ and as a member of our Company’s Animal Health Senior Leadership Team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development of the CA strategy and providing strategic direction on projects and activities of the CA sales, marketing and technical groups for the achievement of short- and long-term business objectives, increased sales, market share and profitability.
  • Identifying and developing new and growth business opportunities, whilst driving the growth of key inline brands.
  • Managing and overseeing pricing and product mix to maximise gross profit of the business unit.
  • Preparing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements for the Business Unit.
  • Effective management of brand planning process and effective utilisation of promotional budgets and resources to ensure strong launch capability for new brands.
  • Championing the development of new methods of customer interaction (including non-traditional marketing channels), new initiatives (such as new products, new marketing techniques, new advertising campaigns, the review of unprofitable products) and leveraging technology to achieve optimal customer experience.
  • Building a strong working relationship with major suppliers, customers and key industry groups.
  • Leading a team of dedicated marketing, sales and technical professionals in a positive, encouraging and engaged environment whilst build a performance culture.
  • Working closely with logistics, customer service and production to ensure efficient supply chain management.
  • Ensuring all activities of the sales, technical and marketing groups comply with relevant Acts, policies, legal requirements and ethical standards.

 

About you

You are a commercially minded, results driven with a strong work ethic who thrives working in a fast paced, high growth environment. You effectively manage ambiguity, are excellent in managing and influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, enjoy taking on new challenges, juggling multiple projects and demonstrate strong learning agility and adaptability.

 

You will also have the following attributes:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (scientific, marketing or business qualification preferred).
  • Strong commercial working experience in Marketing & Sales.
  • Experience with Business To Business (B2B) and Business To Customer (B2C).
  • Product and Technical Knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand Companion Animal market is desired, but not essential.
  • Possess a successful track record in building and leading high performing teams
  • Demonstrated financial acumen (P&L) and commercial acumen with successful commercial track record in regulated environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to establish strong influential relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal and negotiation communication skills.
  • Ability to be collaborative, resilient, results-focused & self-motivated.
  • Ability to embrace a mindset of Networking, Empowering, Experimenting, Sharing & Learning, whilst maintaining focus on Purpose, High Integrity & Ethics, Patient-Focus and Diversity & Inclusiveness.
