Delatite Veterinary Services is currently seeking an experienced Business Manager to help guide our clinic to the next level. Our clinic was established in 2011 and within 10 years we have grown from a 1-person practice to become the market leader in the area, covering farm and small-animal work, principally due to the focus on high-quality work and commitment to client service.

About the role:

As an integral member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for the business development, strategy, management, and accountability of our clinic.  The position can be full time or part time. Pay negotiable depending on experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing team and client satisfaction
• Inventory control and supplier relations
• Computer systems and associated work processes
• New team member recruitment and induction
• Employee appraisals and evaluation
• Managing accounts payable/ receivable
• Rostering, payroll processing and annual leave coordination
• Coordinating regular team meetings and conducting regular team sessions and events
• Managing equipment and maintenance
• Maintaining practice policies and protocols
• Managing OHS compliance
• Management of pet insurance claims and referrals
• Preparation of monthly reports and some annual budgeting.
• Credit control
• Advertising and social media.

About You:

We are looking for a well-organized leader that wishes to challenge themselves in a new field.

• Ideally post graduate qualification in a related field, such as business, commerce, business management or similar.
• Preferable prior experience with Xero
• Prior veterinary industry experience is not required.
• Exceptional customer service and inter-personal skills
• Flexibility, the veterinary field is unpredictable!
