THE POSITION

The role will be responsible for the development, implementation, and performance measurement of the Strategic Marketing Plan, for the livestock portfolio and future business development opportunities, aligned to achieving divisional strategic objectives.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • MARKET ANALYSIS:
    • Regularly conduct market analysis including review of competitive brand and products, marketing materials and promotional programs
    • Identify market opportunities for Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health (BIAH)
    • Analysis of industry market data and market share

 

  • STRATEGY PLANNING:
    • Market analysis and opportunity assessment to broaden the BIAH ruminant portfolio, leveraging global insights and technical expertiseLead the development of strategies and brand plans
    • Development of GTM strategies appropriate to portfolio management (includes OTC, veterinary, retail, e-commerce)

 

  • EXECUTION EXCELLENCE:
    • Achieve sales revenue, growth, and market share targets for the brand portfolio
    • Successful implementation of all action plans within agreed timelines and budget
    • Liaise and manage external agencies to deliver initiatives for the brands including research, media, advertising, and promotions

 

  • PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT:
    • Establish and maintain a network of key contacts within the industry, including livestock producers, veterinarians, KOLs, suppliers and internal BIAH team
    • Contribute to the development of BIAH's Customer Engagement Strategy and the loyalty programs
    • Review campaigns and expenditure and make active recommendations for continuous improvement

 

  • MARKET DEVELOPMENT:
    • Identify growth opportunities beyond current product range
    • Understand channel, customer, reseller and category gaps and opportunities for growth of BIAH portfolio

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing preferred, other degrees considered
  • Minimum of 3 years solid end-to-end brand management experience
  • Animal health marketing and/or sales experience is desirable, not essential
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage Sales Representatives and Managers
  • High drive and initiative
  • A commitment to team success
