About the Role
You will be required to develop, implement and manage weed programs, engage with key stakeholders, and have working knowledge of the Biosecurity Act 2015. Salary for this position is based on skills, experience and qualifications and will range from $61,441.12pa to $71,271.72pa + 9.5% super.
NB: Applicants who reside outside of the Wingecarribee Shire, will not have access to a Commuter Use Operational Vehicle under Council’s Vehicle Management Policy.
In addition to holding relevant qualifications, you will be able to demonstrate experience in:
- Developing and implementing strategic noxious and environmental weed programs and associated policy and operational works plans
- Investigation, regulatory enforcement and education associated with noxious weeds management on private land within a Local Government Area (LGA).
- Identifying new and emerging invasive weeds within an LGA.
- Carrying out safe systems of work applicable to the position
