An exciting opportunity exists for a full-time Biochemistry Technician to join our experienced team. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, and every third Saturday morning.

About you

While all roles in the Laboratory are multi-disciplinary, initially this position primarily entails:

• Providing diagnostic Biochemistry/Trace Elements testing.
• Producing accurate, and timely results.
• Having a strong focus on quality outcomes and excellent customer service.
• Being well organised and having an eye for detail; and
• Being a strong team player.

To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification.
• Experience in handling and laboratory preparation of blood specimens.
• Experience working with Chemistry analysers (medical or veterinary background).
• The ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with respect to both veterinary diagnostic and laboratory issues.
• Previous work experience in a fast paced and high-pressure environment.
• The ability to develop good working relationships with veterinary clinicians.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and
• Have a sense of humour - while we take what we do very seriously, we also have a lot of fun together.
