About us:

Exciting opportunities to join a well-established privately owned commercial farming operation based at Waterhouse in north-east Tasmania.

Consisting of 3 titles in close proximity, the farming operation is 100% livestock with approx. 1200 beef cows plus value-add to progeny and 4000 ewes for wool and cross-bred lambs.

Opportunities to join our team:

Opportunities are available for hands-on leaders to join the business.  Day-to-day you’ll oversee livestock operations, be responsible for animal welfare, all aspects of the breeding cycle, grazing management including pasture production with a progressive outlook to high kilos of red meat production per hectare.

You will enjoy a degree of autonomy in your day-to-day work while working closely with the owner. Whether you’re an experienced overseer/assistant manager/2IC or experienced farmhand looking to develop your career in livestock farming, this may be the opportunity for you.

We are seeking someone with:

• a commitment to high standards of animal welfare, progressive farming processes and use of ag tech to inform farming operations
• good time management
• communication skills
• practical skills across livestock and general farming operations
• working dogs and a current drivers’ license are essential.
