Description

The School of Veterinary Medicine and Science is an innovative and forward thinking school at University of Nottingham. This has been demonstrated by the dramatic increase of our student numbers by moving to a dual intake system. In September 2019 150 undergraduate students started with us, with a further 150 starting in April 2020.  We have been consistently ranked #1 in NSS survey since our first graduating cohort in 2011 and in the most recent REF we ranked 2nd in the UK for research power. The school has 4 strategic research areas: “Diagnostics and Therapeutics” , “One Virology” , “Ruminant Population and Health” and   “Translational Infection Biology”.

Applications are invited for an Assistant/Associate Professor in the area of Veterinary Medicine and Oncology.  This is a combined research and teaching position, and we require staff to deliver clinical oncology within the veterinary undergraduate curriculum. In addition, applicants should have a clear vision for their research activity and how this integrates with and compliments our current strengths and a track record of innovation and excellence.

This role is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Kate Cobb or Nigel Mongan. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.

It is a condition of this post that satisfactory enhanced disclosure is obtained from the 'Disclosure and Barring Service'.
