Skillset alongside Bathurst Regional Council are currently seeking applications for their new Animal Welfare Traineeship to support the operations of the Bathurst Animal Rehoming Centre. This entry-level role is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience whilst learning from industry experts and take on a Certificate II or Certificate III in Animal Studies over 12 or 24 Months.

What you’ll be doing:

• Cleaning, exercising and animal handling duties
• Assisting with medical checks
• Handling customer enquiries
• Administration tasks
• Cleaning and general maintenance
• And much more.

We want individuals who ideally:

• Are interested in animal care
• Understand workplace health and safety policies and procedures
• Willing to learn and develop own skills and knowledge
• Drivers Licence preferred however not required – must have reliable transport to and from work
