Are you passionate about taking the first steps to a successful and fulfilling career in animal care?
Skillset alongside Bathurst Regional Council are currently seeking applications for their new Animal Welfare Traineeship to support the operations of the Bathurst Animal Rehoming Centre. This entry-level role is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience whilst learning from industry experts and take on a Certificate II or Certificate III in Animal Studies over 12 or 24 Months.
What you’ll be doing:
- Cleaning, exercising and animal handling duties
- Assisting with medical checks
- Handling customer enquiries
- Administration tasks
- Cleaning and general maintenance
- And much more.
We want individuals who ideally:
- Are interested in animal care
- Understand workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Willing to learn and develop own skills and knowledge
- Drivers Licence preferred however not required – must have reliable transport to and from work
