YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
Permanent, Full Time position
The Animal Welfare Compliance Manager is responsible for the continuous improvement of key governance and compliance processes related to the conduct of research with animals at Peter Mac, including research ethics and biosafety. The role will provide subject matter expertise and support to the Peter Mac research and professional staff ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations and Peter Mac policy and procedure, as well as appropriate reporting.
The incumbent will be required to participate in the functions of the Quality and Patient Safety team including policy development, Key Performance Indicator Reporting, promoting a culture of safety and quality, and conducting training and education to Peter Mac staff to support these functions. The incumbent works closely with the Director Quality and Patient Safety in respect of the audits and legislative compliance necessary to meet research related requirements.
